📋 Description

• Source and procure electrical, electronic, and electromechanical goods and services from suppliers • Initiate and evaluate Requests for Quotations and Proposals • Analyze proposed pricing from potential suppliers • Evaluate and monitor supplier quality, reliability, and delivery capability with the quality organization • Work with internal customers to ensure product and service specifications are appropriate • Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through negotiations • Issue and manage purchase orders • Ensure compliance with public law requirements, company and business policies, procedures, and import/export regulations • Assess supplier performance and employ sound business practices • Provide documentation to logistics, transportation, and warehouse organizations for proper receipt recording • Review and approve supplier payments as needed • Use Lean Six Sigma process tools with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement • Travel occasionally to Northrop Grumman sites

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance or related field and 2+ years of related procurement experience, OR a master's degree in supply chain, business or finance, OR a high school diploma and 6+ years of related procurement experience • Experience working with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursable • Knowledge of special payment provisions, including progress- or performance-based payments • Understanding of the proposal process, pricing instructions, terms and conditions, and supplier proposal adequacy • Strong leadership, communication, and writing skills • Risk mitigation and problem-solving skills • Eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance • U.S. citizenship required • Expertise in Word and Excel preferred • Experience using Costpoint, Cognos, and SharePoint preferred • Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting, FAR, DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards, and DCAA audit procedures preferred • ASCM or APICS Certification preferred
