• Lead personalized account experiences based on the needs of each account and Health Care Provider • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers • Build meaningful connections and identify shared priorities • Navigate solutions linking customers to Novartis resources to improve patient outcomes • Balance demand generation with strategic account engagement • Navigate and resolve account challenges with tailored solutions • Build strategic territory plans that drive product demand and support patient outcomes • Partner with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office colleagues • Apply market, competitive landscape, and cross-functional knowledge to anticipate opportunities and challenges • Use territory data and market trends to uncover local insights and support pull-through efforts • Lead impactful virtual and in-person customer engagements • Facilitate planning sessions with key stakeholders • Collaborate across functions to address complex customer challenges • Deliver real-time access support and work with Patient Specialty Services • Use digital tools and omni-channel strategies for virtual and face-to-face customer outreach
• Bachelor’s degree required from 4-year college or university • Experience within the last 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, medical device, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, B2B sectors, or a similarly complex sales role • Proven track record of consistent high performance • Experience navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers • Analytic abilities to seek out, prioritize, and apply relevant information • Ability to demonstrate ethical leadership and promote ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and laws • Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border • Ability to travel 60–80% over a broad geography • Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory • Must have a valid, fully valid, and unrestricted driver’s license • Associate level: recently separated from the US Military with 4+ years of military service in a leadership capacity, or limited prior sales experience • Territory level: 2+ years’ experience in a relevant specialty industry or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years • Senior level: 5+ years’ experience in a relevant specialty industry or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years • Executive level: 10+ years’ experience in a relevant specialty industry or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years • Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally within a matrix environment • Ability to communicate clinical product information • Customer-facing employees must comply with customers’ credentialing guidelines, which may require vaccination • Must successfully complete required initial training
