• Drive product pull-through in targeted Priority Accounts and Affiliated Healthcare Systems within the cardiovascular brand portfolio • Develop and implement strategic business plans for identified top Priority Accounts and Affiliated Healthcare Systems • Build institutional advocacy around formulary adoption of cardiovascular brands • Develop, coordinate, and implement institution-centric programs • Build relationships with administrative, clinical, operational, and financial decision makers and partners • Optimize pathways, transitions of care, treatment protocols, and workflow enablement • Conduct periodic customer needs assessments and communicate insights and activities • Identify and enable injection locations suitable to account archetype and pathway • Integrate workflow and EMR with administrative stakeholders and cross-functional teams • Apply knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billable reimbursement, market economics, access models, payment programs, and industry trends • Maintain awareness of Novartis price offerings and inform account administrators • Create and maintain targeted institutional-specific business plans with local partners • Anticipate and address business opportunities and challenges across disease state, marketplace, competitors, industry, and cross-functional activities • Provide product and disease state presentations to physicians and staff • Lead cross-functional teams to create, implement, and update business plans • Support team members in identifying business opportunities and diagnosing issues within assigned accounts and healthcare systems • Travel throughout the assigned geography and drive/fly within the territory
• Bachelor’s degree required from 4-year college or university • 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries, or other complex environments such as medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, or B2B sectors • 2+ years’ experience in specialty buy-and-bill • 2+ years’ experience managing complex accounts, including major academic centers and hospitals • Extensive understanding of the cardiovascular community • Strong track record of expertise in therapeutic area and product knowledge • Experience developing strategic account plans in a matrix environment • Understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and strong business acumen • Proficiency in technology and digital engagement • Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border • Ability to travel 60–80% over a broad geography • Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory • Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required • Driving is an essential function of the role • Must comply with customers’ credentialing guidelines, which may require COVID-19 vaccination • Successful completion of initial training, including home study, of eight or fewer hours per day and forty or fewer hours per week
