• Navigate and resolve challenges within accounts with tailored solutions • Build strategic territory plans to drive product demand and improve patient outcomes • Partner with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office colleagues • Analyze market, competitive, territory, and cross-functional dynamics • Use territory data and market trends to uncover local insights and support pull-through efforts • Lead impactful customer engagements virtually or in person • Facilitate planning sessions with key stakeholders to solve complex challenges • Deliver real-time access support and coordinate with Patient Specialty Services • Use digital tools and omni-channel strategies for virtual and face-to-face customer outreach • Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts and Health Care Providers, linking customers to Novartis resources
• Bachelor’s degree required from a 4-year college or university • Experience within the last 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, B2B, or similarly complex sales environments • Territory Account Specialist level: 2+ years of relevant experience within the last 5 years • Senior Territory Account Specialist level: 5+ years of relevant experience within the last 5 years • Associate level candidates may have limited prior sales experience or 4+ years of US military leadership service • Proven record of consistent high performance • Experience selling to large accounts and key customers • Analytical ability to prioritize and apply information to solve customer problems • Ethical leadership and ability to promote compliance with company policies and laws • Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border • Ability to travel 60–80% over a broad geography by driving and/or flying • Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required • Ability to communicate clinical product information • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally within a matrix environment • Customer-facing employees must comply with applicable customer credentialing guidelines, which may require COVID-19 vaccination • For dedicated training periods: ability to complete initial training of eight or fewer hours per day and 40 or fewer hours per week
