📋 Description

• Guide students through the financial aid process, from FAFSA completion to award packaging • Review and analyze financial aid applications to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid • Award and adjust aid packages in compliance with applicable regulations and policies • Counsel students and families through appointments, workshops, phone calls, email, and virtual tools • Manage verification files, resolve discrepancies, and submit required corrections • Evaluate special and unusual circumstances with sound judgment and empathy • Collaborate across departments to support enrollment, retention, and student satisfaction • Present at orientations, information sessions, and student forums • Support exit counseling for students who withdraw or graduate • Contribute to team initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and university events

🎯 Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience working directly with students and families in Financial Aid • Working knowledge of Title IV financial aid regulations • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Clear, compassionate written and verbal communication • Comfort working with data, calculations, and compliance requirements • Ability to exercise sound judgment in nuanced or sensitive situations • Service-oriented mindset with a genuine desire to help others succeed • Collaborative, accountable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
