📋 Description

• Develop operational performance metrics with program and advocacy teams • Help teams visualize data to identify budget risks and resource opportunities • Analyze data and provide insights for strategic operational decisions • Report program operational health and performance to leadership • Administer Airtable bases, maintain data hygiene, and train users • Map processes and identify pinch points with cross-functional teams • Recommend process improvements and project-manage implementation • Document best practices, processes, and standard operating procedures • Develop onboarding documentation, standardized templates, and workflows for Program Operations • Train program operations leaders and new Program Operations staff on processes and systems • Lead teams in resolving complex or urgent operational issues • Provide surge support for budget and grant management • Collaborate with Finance, Philanthropy, Legal, Human Resources, Accounts Payable, and program leaders • Report directly to the Senior Director of Program Operations in a matrixed structure

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in a relevant field • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial management, operations, or administration; nonprofit experience preferred • Federal grant management is a plus • 2+ years of experience influencing others with direct or indirect authority • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new processes and software • Demonstrated project management skills while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams • Ability to analyze datasets, synthesize data, and present findings to leaders • Ability to communicate clearly and distill complex technical concepts into layperson language • Experience soliciting information from teams while minimizing burden • Positive, solutions-oriented changemaker attitude • Skill collaborating with multidisciplinary teams • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word and PowerPoint • Advanced Excel skills, including writing formulas and data manipulation • Experience with Smartsheet, Airtable, or other project management tools • Commitment to equity, environmental justice, and NWF's mission • Approximately 1–2 trips per year, 2–4 nights per trip • U.S. citizenship or valid U.S. work authorization • Background check if selected • Cover letter and resume required
