📋 Description

• Work with stakeholders across the organization to help NWF achieve operational excellence • Write guidance documents • Map processes and analyze data to understand impacts or pain points • Strategize to help leadership make decisions • Report directly to the Senior Director of Program Operations and collaborate with program leaders • Work with Finance, Philanthropy, Legal, Human Resources, and Accounts Payable • Develop operational performance metrics with program and advocacy teams • Help teams visualize data to identify budget risks or resource opportunities • Analyze data and provide insights for strategic operational decisions • Report program operational health and performance to leadership • Administer Airtable bases, ensure data hygiene, and provide training on bases • Map processes and pinch points with various teams • Suggest process improvements and project-manage implementation • Document best practices, process documentation, and standard operating procedures • Develop onboarding documentation, standardized templates, and workflows for Program Operations • Train program operations leaders on new processes and systems • Train new Program Operations staff with their managers • Lead teams in solving complex or urgent operational issues • Provide surge support for budget and grant management

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in a relevant field, such as business administration or finance • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial management, operations, or administration, preferably in a nonprofit setting • Federal grant management is a plus • 2+ years of experience influencing others, either with direct or indirect authority, to achieve a shared goal • Comfort adapting to changing priorities and learning new processes and software • Demonstrated strong project management skills while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, preferably in operations • Ability to analyze datasets, synthesize data, and present findings to leaders • Ability to communicate clearly and distill complex technical concepts into layperson language • Experience soliciting information from teams while minimizing burden • Reputation as a changemaker with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude • Skill collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support project outcomes • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including MS Word and PowerPoint • Advanced Excel skills, including writing formulas and data manipulation • Ability and experience working with Smartsheet, Airtable, or other project management tools • Motivation by equity and responsibility to marginalized people • Empathy and strong social skills • Commitment to an environmental justice approach in policy priorities, program development, and partner engagement • Actively seeks feedback, direction, and guidance from team members and keeps staff informed of decisions • Dedication to advancing NWF’s internal equity transformation • Passion for and commitment to NWF's mission • Must be a U.S. citizen or have valid work authorization to work in the U.S. • Successful candidates must undergo a background check
