📋 Description

• Assist with construction, erection, installation, fabrication, and repair of cooling towers • Work safely and follow safe work procedures; stop work when unsafe conditions are present • Assist with installation of motors, fans, gear boxes, drive shafts, mechanical supports, and fan stacks • Read blueprints, sketches, and building plans and liaise with the Foreman • Assist with selecting lumber and other job materials • Prepare layouts using rulers, tape measures, framing squares, and calipers • Mark cuts, holes, and assembly lines using pencils, chalk, and marking gauges • Shape materials using saws, chisels, and grinders • Assemble cut and shaped materials • Assist with piping and nozzle installation • Assist with framework erection • Perform additional tasks assigned by Superintendents, Field and Area Managers, and Foremen • Work at heights while observing 100% tie-off • Travel extensively as required by project location and duration • Perform other work as directed by OBR Field Supervision

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Valid Driver’s License or ID Card and reliable transportation • Knowledge and application of safety standards through OSHA training and experience • Experience working in an industrial workplace • Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy • Ability to select and use proper tools • Ability to compare and accurately determine differences in size, shape, and form of objects • Ability to multi-task • Ability to work well with others • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, climb stairs and structures, and stoop • Ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or paper copy • Ability to communicate effectively verbally • Negative 10-panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test • Valid Driver’s License and proof of U.S. Citizenship • Satisfactory background check • Score of 2 or less in a DISA background screen • OSHA 10 Certification preferred
