• Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and repair complex customer biomedical equipment • Perform planned maintenance, safety inspections, and environmental inspections • Maintain effective customer relations and drive customer satisfaction through Service Excellence • Lead others regarding GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and required documentation • Establish proactive daily customer communications to ensure resolution and follow-up • Partner effectively with teammates and colleagues • Implement GE/customer facility contracts and support customer and business objectives • Lead, instruct, and assist technicians with basic and complex repairs • Provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area, including delegating tasks and performing administrative duties • Share best-practice knowledge, mentor others, and provide team support • Share on-call responsibilities • Document repair actions and submit reports and summaries according to schedule • Care for spares, tools, and test equipment, including ensuring calibration • Maintain approved parts inventory • Manage vendor service delivery processes in compliance with GE policies • Maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures through formal instruction • Perform site leader duties when assigned, including directing BMET activities, engaging customer leadership, and participating in Safety Committees • Meet Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and other regulatory requirements
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR equivalent military education and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years of experience servicing medical equipment • Proficiency in completing electronic documentation using technological tools such as iPad and iPhone • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other technological programs • Experience developing and maintaining customer relations at all levels, including nurses, doctors, and leadership • Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to implement solutions through problem solving • Must comply with GEHC’s standard background check, including a post-offer drug test • Must comply with customer access policies, including required immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks when applicable • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment visas will not be sponsored • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods • Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and have good hand and finger dexterity • Specific vision abilities may include color vision and close vision
