📋 Description

• Execute contractual obligations and customer-required daily activities involving electrical and mechanical wind turbine equipment • Apply knowledge of variable-pitch and variable-speed turbines and converter parts • Read, understand, and explain schematics, drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations • Follow Environmental Health and Safety processes, regulations, and compliance requirements • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable-pitch and variable-speed turbines • Support all areas of site operations with minimal supervision while observing safety requirements • Perform diagnostic analysis and develop plans for timely resolution • Document work using computer-based service reporting procedures • Work with GE's remote operations center when necessary • Partner and communicate with the Site Lead and Manager to meet contract requirements and timelines • Mentor peers • Perform daily turbine operations, safety, quality control, and warranty repairs • Travel locally within the hub

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to pass a Technical Knowledge Assessment • Either 4+ years of wind troubleshooting experience and 1+ year in an EHS, SQC, or Lead role, or 5+ years of wind troubleshooting experience • Basic computer skills • Valid driver's license • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time • Ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs. and climb towers up to 300 feet daily • Must maintain manufacturer weight limits not exceeding 300 lbs. including required gear • Ability and willingness to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities • Ability to prioritize work according to contract obligations • Ability to work independently and take initiative • Flexibility to work rotating shifts and on-call schedules • Ability to work occasional overnights • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable • Desired: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a Technical, Electrical, or Electronics field • Desired: Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field • Wind turbine experience • Electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experience • Experience using hydraulic power tools • Experience with heavy equipment for facility maintenance and working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
