📋 Description

• Create original content and visual design across a range of media • Develop fresh original content for the OCHIN Improvement Publications portfolio • Translate clinical and technical knowledge into practical application • Review academic and gray literature • Consult internal and external subject matter experts • Record interviews with primary sources • Convene cross-disciplinary subject matter expert teams • Apply user-centered design, visual design, cognitive linguistics, neuroscience, gestalt psychology, gamification, and adult learning theory • Create layouts, callouts, graphics, data visualization aids, illustrations, digital interactive tools, apps, video, and virtual reality tools • Employ UI and UX approaches for digital interactive educational media • Monitor trends in virtual education, adult education, and health education • Oversee translation of content into languages other than English • Vet translations for clinical accuracy and cultural sensitivity • Translate content through a quality-improvement lens • Enhance quality improvement using implementation science and change management methodologies • Communicate with grant administrators regarding allocations, timelines, and deliverables • Collaborate with webmasters to design webpages and capture end-user behavior data • Coordinate with the Analysis and Evaluation Team to embed feedback tools • Participate in material dissemination with OCHIN MarCom or designated proxies • Advise and collaborate with OCHIN workgroups and Research projects on technical solutions • Consult on culturally sensitive and end-user-friendly language • Develop audio-visual solutions for low- or no-literacy patient populations and non-English speakers • Serve on internal and external committees • Consult on adjunct educational curricula • Manage multiple high-priority projects • Support team growth and continuous improvement • Assist with intern onboarding • Support and mentor junior Improvement Publications staff • Travel for on-site Go-Live support or training as required

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a content designer, preferably in the healthcare industry • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, healthcare administration, English, communications, design, or a related field is required • Master’s degree desired • Strong writing and editing skills required • Professional graphic design skills required • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite required • Command of user-centered design methodologies desired • Knowledge of adult education theory and best practices desired • Knowledge of quality and process improvement methodologies desired • Experience producing audio-visual media strongly desired • Experience recording and editing podcasts, filming, and editing video using Final Cut Pro or similar software strongly desired • Experience with the Epic EHR strongly desired • Strong interpersonal, intercultural, customer service, and time management skills • Ability to work well without direct supervision and in a team environment • COVID-19 vaccination required as a condition of employment • Proof of full vaccination or approved medical or religious exemption required before hire date • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment • High Speed Internet Service • Distraction-free workplace • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English • Ability to travel nationally, potentially up to 20%
