📋 Description

• Own the upstream commercial side of Odeko's supply chain, including what it buys, from whom, and on what terms • Report to the Chief Supply Chain Officer • Carry gross margin and landed COGS • Own the supplier base end to end, including selection, consolidation, supplier tiering, performance, and business decisions • Lead negotiations covering price, MOQs, lead times, rebates, and payment terms • Own DPO and produce the negotiated-terms sheet for Purchasing • Work with Legal to improve standard supplier contracts and terms • Drive gross-margin and landed-COGS improvements and ensure savings are captured in the P&L • Own responses to supplier price increases • Shape catalog assortment and category strategy with revenue teams • Run private-label activities from category selection through supplier development, margin structure, and penetration targets • Build and lead Odeko's category management organization • Define categories, hire leaders, establish success measures, and implement a category review cadence

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in sourcing, procurement, or merchandising • 5+ years leading teams, ideally in distribution, foodservice, CPG, or another business where cost of goods is the primary margin lever • Managed annual spend exceeding $250MM, with savings reaching the P&L • Personally led negotiations on individual contracts of $10M+ in annual value • Experience with contract development and supplier terms • Managed a commodity-exposed category book • Owned assortment decisions and stood up new categories • Deployed an AI or advanced-analytics solution against a sourcing problem • Ability to represent the commercial supply story to the executive team and partner with Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, economics, or a related field is listed as nice to have; MBA preferred • Travel of 20%+, including trade shows, supplier visits, and co-packer oversight on private label
