• Gather and analyze financial data and organize it into accessible reports • Perform financial analysis using key metrics and provide forecasting support • Process financial transactions, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and Pcard transactions • Manage expenditures and tracking for Special Projects and Initiative Funding • Work with departments and project leads to review spending, timelines, reimbursements, and accounting • Prepare monthly financial reports with variance analysis and recommendations to mitigate negative trends • Re-forecast financial performance based on changing business conditions • Prepare operating and capital budgets, financial forecasts, statements, reports, and projections • Track project commitments and expenses, investigate variances, and perform reconciliations • Provide cost-benefit analysis of existing and new programs • Prepare purchase orders, labor distributions, journal entries, ledger reconciliations, Oracle and Pcard requests, and expense documentation • Monitor and resolve open purchase orders and invoices on hold • Approve and process disbursements, reimbursements, Pcard reconciliations, invoice payments, and departmental purchasing • Provide oral and written financial advice and recommendations to directors, managers, and project leads • Perform other related duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university • For a related field, 36 hours of accounting courses from an accredited college or university • Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible relevant work experience • Highly proficient with computers, including database and spreadsheet applications • Proficiency in accounting principles, such as GAAP • Prior Academic Health Center or relevant financial-specific experience performing analysis related to operational improvements and business cases • Intermediate spreadsheet skills, including complex functions, formulas, and formatting • Experience with relational databases • Understanding of financial reporting concepts such as cost accounting and net present value analysis • Communication and interpersonal skills for consulting with internal and external customers on sensitive matters • Ability to perform job duties with or without accommodation • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of directly related experience • Preferred: Proficiency in Oracle and Cognos/Rubix, including General Ledger, iProcurement, and Labor Distribution • Preferred: Experience in central funding, allocations, and state funding • Preferred: Familiarity with OHSU Fiscal Policies and Procedures
