📋 Description

• Support the Revenue Cycle team in improving revenue results through analysis of clinical and financial processes, functions, and system interdependencies • Provide technical expertise in the analysis, design, build, and support of the Epic HB Resolute application • Support complex clinical departments and practices with a high degree of autonomy • Perform audits focused on revenue cycle integrity • Analyze, design, validate, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain the Epic Hospital Resolute application and Craneware system • Demonstrate knowledge of Resolute HB, Charge Router, and their integration with other Epic applications • Test application builds to ensure systems meet end-user requirements • Design, develop, and document system functionality and clinical/operational workflows supporting accurate and compliant charge capture • Develop test plans, conduct testing, analyze results, and complete implementation plans • Assist with systems and workflow interfaces • Analyze existing functionality and workflows to identify deficiencies and support improvement activities • Extract and manipulate financial and clinical data from various data sources to promote revenue integrity • Monitor productivity, charge lag, and charge volume using Epic tools and reports • Identify and help prevent backlogs and impediments in charge review and charge router review work queues • Generate reports, communicate pending charge issues, and assist departments as needed • Identify and escalate pending charges, late charges, revenue opportunities, and revenue integrity concerns • Resolve work queues timely and address root causes of charge lag issues • Provide training and education to department managers and staff on revenue cycle topics, charge entry, and charge codes • Liaise between clinical areas, Hospital Financial Services, Information Technology Group, and Patient Business Services on Charge Capture activities • Collaborate with clinical areas, Financial Services, Health Information Services, Information Technology Group, and Charge Master Analysts to resolve charging issues and revenue opportunities • Participate in workflow meetings and facilitate as requested • Maintain current understanding of billing regulations and update departments on billing code and requirement changes • Serve on the Revenue Cycle Team and promote a customer service focus • Participate in Revenue Cycle projects as directed by the Revenue Integrity Assistant Director and Director • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and 2 years' work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and 4 years' work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR • Associate’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and 5 years' work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR • 6 years' work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR • Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree • Working knowledge of hospital operations and the patient care process • Advanced skills and working knowledge of Excel • Demonstrated experience with data analysis • Epic Certification preferred • Experience implementing an Integrated Enterprise Hospital System, preferably Epic • Experience implementing technology that promoted fundamental changes in hospital settings • Ability to work in a highly autonomous role by demonstrating self-motivation and creativity in design approach • Ability to function effectively in a very dynamic team environment • Ability to proactively pursue problem resolution to satisfy customer needs • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks efficiently while successfully meeting assigned deadlines • Ability to work with users to accurately assess and diagnose system problems as defined by the user • Ability to manage comprehensive data and worksheets • Working knowledge of Epic Resolute Hospital Billing application • Current Epic Resolute Hospital Billing certifications preferred
