• Model and train staff in Positive Behavior Support methodology • Serve on Interdisciplinary Teams, providing behavioral expertise • Assess, design, train, monitor, and report on Behavior Plans • Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses • Provide behavior analytic interpretations of assessment results • Provide direct behavioral treatment through replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, group and individual behavioral treatment, and skills coaching • Participate in an on-call rotation for behavior issues • Monitor restraint use and provide training to reduce it • Monitor challenging behavior • Participate in the Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other relevant committees • Provide individualized services for specialty intermediate care clinic patients • Meet requirements of 902 KAR 20:410 Specialty Intermediate Care Clinics as warranted • Learn and follow all policies and procedures
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board • Must be licensed in Missouri • Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline • Two years’ experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities • Specialized training and/or experience in applied behavior principles, plan implementation, data collection, behavior interventions/replacement behaviors, and risk identification/amelioration • Documented completion of 10 hours of annual training related to behavior supports • Ability to participate in and demonstrate knowledge of approved crisis management procedures • Ability to record/enter data accurately and objectively • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos • Ability to write simple correspondence • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to detailed written or oral instructions • Ability to make independent decisions with good judgment and attention to detail
