📋 Description

• Lead the major gifts strategy in collaboration with the Director of Development and Senior Leadership, focusing on donor engagement, relationship management, and long-term philanthropic investment • Cultivate major donor relationships through various communication channels • Manage, engage, and increase the quantity and value of current major donors and prospects • Partner with the Development team to secure major donor participation and sponsorships for key events • Manage, qualify, and solicit a portfolio of approximately 100–125 major donors and prospects • Conduct educational and informational presentations and tours of Oliver Gospel’s work to community partners • Research and compile information to create detailed donor profiles • Serve as major donor strategy lead for the Hope Match Challenge, focusing on lead gift development, donor alignment, and relationship-based solicitation • Represent Oliver Gospel at community or partner events • Provide the Director of Development with donor information, reporting, and analytics • Perform other duties as assigned

• A born-again believer in Jesus Christ • Affirm without reservation Oliver Gospel’s Statement of Faith • Fully support Oliver Gospel’s Mission, Vision, and Values Statements • Ability and desire to work in harmony with other Oliver Gospel employees • Be on time and ready to work at the assigned work location on every scheduled day of work • Use of tobacco and/or vaping products is not permitted during scheduled work hours or at any Mission event • Valid South Carolina driver’s license • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field • Proven ability to build trust and engage effectively with high-capacity donors and community leaders • 3-5+ years of experience in major gifts, development, consultative sales, business development, wealth management, or other relationship-based roles with demonstrated success achieving revenue goals • Experience successfully presenting to individuals and groups in donor-facing and/or professional settings • Proficiency with donor CRM systems and donor data management • Donor Perfect experience a plus • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC-based business software • Ability to inspire and challenge major donors and prospects in their giving • Ability to thoughtfully and fluidly shift in style and strategy for effectiveness • Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, program staff, and communications teams • Comfort leveraging executive and board relationships in donor engagement • Sound judgment in decision-making • Strong organizational and research skills • Strong relational, written, and oral communication skills • Integrity in dealing with people, finances, and confidential information • Excellent attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines • Servant attitude • Ability to work in a changing, growth-oriented environment • Ability to concentrate and apply mental processes • Ability to respond professionally to emotionally complex situations while maintaining appropriate boundaries and self-care • Ability to participate in travel experiences • Ability to move about inside the facility to engage employees and/or guests • Ability to operate a computer and other office machinery for long periods of time • Ability to climb stairs, bend, squat, kneel, and reach upward and/or outward in performing tasks • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull items weighing up to 10 pounds • Ability to engage in limited exposure to publicly transmitted diseases, such as colds and viruses
