📋 Description

• Perform electrical engineering duties for evaluation, design, and documentation of electrical systems for federal projects • Design power distribution, lighting, grounding, and related building systems • Apply electrical engineering techniques and procedures to develop constructible, code-compliant designs • Prepare electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates • Coordinate project documents and track scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables • Coordinate electrical design elements with other engineering disciplines and internal project teams • Communicate project development and progress with project managers, federal clients, contractors, and consultants • Perform process design calculations, analyze engineering data, and support feasibility evaluations • Maintain project information and documentation in project management systems • Diagnose and help resolve technical design issues • Support quality assurance and quality control processes • Provide technical guidance and oversight to less experienced engineers or technical staff as assigned • Travel to project sites and participate in project charrettes, design reviews, and value engineering conferences

🎯 Requirements

• Licensed Electrical Engineer • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (listed under Preferred Qualifications) • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders • Problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills • Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, federal standards, and regulatory requirements • Advanced mathematical and analytical abilities related to electrical engineering design • Working knowledge of design tools and technologies such as AutoCAD and Revit • Ability to travel and participate in project charrettes, design reviews, and value engineering conferences • Ability to travel to project sites and work in varying terrain and weather conditions
