📋 Description

• Improve the cost-of-mistake curve by scaling testing through automation • Drive an engineering approach to integration- and end-to-end test automation • Extend and maintain the Playwright/TypeScript automation framework across UI and API tiers • Keep the automation framework maintainable, extensible, stable, and reliable in CI • Design and implement API-tier test coverage for Omatic’s .NET REST services • Test data-plane services including Transform, Match, Route, and Validate, plus configuration/runtime APIs • Build an automated test harness for integration connectors • Develop strategies for testing external CRM APIs using mocked, twinned, or sandboxed environments • Facilitate discussions about appropriate unit, integration, and system test abstraction levels • Collaborate on component and contract tests, including a Pact pilot • Use and improve AI-assisted quality workflows such as automated triage and change-driven test scoping • Implement a repeatable and relevant test data strategy • Evaluate and help architect performance-testing solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Resourceful and experimental approach to solving technical challenges • Ability to articulate and demonstrate various test techniques and test heuristics • Ability to collaborate effectively with development and infrastructure engineers • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining test automation in a modern web framework; Playwright strongly preferred • Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript • Demonstrated experience testing RESTful APIs directly, not only through a UI • Demonstrated experience keeping automation stable in CI, including flake diagnosis, synchronization, and environment issues • Ability to apply risk, cost/value trade-offs, and prioritization to automation decisions • High self-initiative and self-motivation • Sustained track record of peer-reviewed contributions • C#/.NET familiarity preferred • Contract testing experience, such as Pact, preferred • Experience with mocking/service-virtualization strategies for third-party APIs preferred • Thoughtful use of AI tooling in testing workflows preferred • Experience with API testing, data verification, integration testing, mocks, and AI preferred • Must indicate U.S. citizenship/employment eligibility and current U.S. location through the application
