📋 Description

• Build and maintain the AI engine that proposes metadata across the active project estate • Tune AI-generated metadata suggestions until engineers accept them • Develop automated logic to safely reassign ownership or retire ownerless and relinquished systems • Build a complete inventory of agents and MCP servers across production and endpoint environments • Expose agent and MCP inventory programmatically through the platform API • Develop first-party product inventory and critical-user-journey mapping • Refactor and decommission legacy code without breaking existing behaviour • Deliver unit and integration tests for shipped backend components • Participate in sprint delivery alongside program and customer teams

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience • Go as a working language; experience building and shipping scalable backend services and APIs • PostgreSQL schema design and querying • MongoDB schema design and querying • Working knowledge of AWS services, client libraries, and APIs • Experience designing, implementing, and tuning agentic, AI-driven workflows • Experience with asset discovery / ingestion tooling, such as CloudQuery • Knowledge of data classification standards, dependency mapping, and functional framework mapping • Ability to navigate large, unfamiliar codebases and refactor or decommission legacy code without regressing existing behaviour • Unit and integration testing for backend components • Agile/Scrum delivery experience, including sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • IT asset management, CMDB, or configuration management platforms (nice to have, not required) • Model Context Protocol (MCP) and related agent tooling patterns (nice to have, not required) • Governance, risk, or compliance workflows (nice to have, not required)
