📋 Description

• Build and lead the founding team of engineers and data scientists • Develop high-throughput services that inspect live traffic at near-zero latency • Develop applied machine learning that runs in the critical path • Establish the team’s culture, standards, hiring bar, and ways of working • Own team outcomes end to end, including delivery, production health, and people growth • Set technical and cultural direction with lead engineers • Make decisions that unblock delivery rather than create bottlenecks • Own hiring from the first requisition through the tenth • Create clarity and plans for undefined, ambiguous work • Ensure shipped systems behave as intended in production • Lead hands-on while enabling engineers to own their work • Deliver an ambiguous, high-stakes charter without compromising quality or production standards

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrable AI-native leadership and personal proficiency using AI to increase leverage • 8–10+ years of engineering experience • Experience leading teams that shipped and operated production systems • Technical depth in systems, machine learning, or both • Experience hiring and developing high-performing engineers and data scientists • Ability to own delivery of an ambiguous, high-stakes charter end to end • Ability to maintain quality and production standards while delivering • Hands-on technical leadership sufficient to guide difficult decisions and review work
