📋 Description

• Direct the activities of nursing departments for assigned locations • Oversee nursing work schedules and activities to meet patient care needs, maintain productivity standards, and control overtime • Implement and operationalize the centralized scheduling model • Ensure services comply with company standards, federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and agency policy • Ensure departmental compliance with policies and procedures • Oversee selection, development, and monitoring of nursing staff • Partner on supervision and evaluation of nursing personnel and direct nursing and allied health human resource issues • Ensure nurses maintain professional nursing practice standards and comply with supply formulary requirements • Assist Operations Leadership with department operating and expenditure budgets • Coordinate patient services with pharmacy, delivery, reimbursement, and other internal and external departments • Establish and ensure the purchase and expedited delivery of medical supplies and equipment within budget • Assess, manage, and report nursing operational and financial data; analyze trends and develop process improvement plans • Ensure collection and organization of patient-specific information to assess suitability for home care • Provide continuing education on home care infusion issues, competency, and orientation programs • Ensure on-call processes for the nursing department • Facilitate clinical networking and act as a clinical resource • Spend approximately 90% of time managing nursing operations and the remainder providing clinical patient care

🎯 Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a license in the current state of practice • At least 6 years of home health/infusion care experience • Minimum of 3 years in a nursing leadership role within a home care setting • Experience applying knowledge of local, State, Federal, accrediting body, and OSHA rules and regulations • Demonstrated competency in the clinical management of home infusion patients • Knowledge and competency in patient management skills, including the nursing process • Knowledge of documentation and billing requirements for home health/infusion care goods and services • Experience using time management skills to prioritize, organize, track details, and meet deadlines for multiple projects • Experience providing training and developing clinical services processes, documentation, and user manuals • Experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expenses and budgets • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word • Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel • Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint • California-based alternative: BSN or bachelor’s degree in a health-related field with three years of recent experience, or registered nurse with four years of recent experience, including one supervisory or administrative year • Willing to travel 25% of the time for business purposes, within state and out of state • Preferred: BSN with CRNI or other professional certification and advanced management training • Preferred: At least 4 years of experience in a home health/infusion setting
