• Serve as a trusted partner to Optiv’s clients and design pragmatic, scalable network security solutions • Participate in the Field Center of Excellence and position Optiv services, technology partners, and products to deliver client value • Drive generation services and technologies business to meet or exceed quota objectives with account and domain teams • Maintain advanced knowledge of clients’ security environments, operations, security needs, and risk appetite • Identify security concerns and align them with Optiv’s strategic solutions and cybersecurity programs • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across clients and partner relationships • Qualify leads, determine scope, manage proposals, and follow opportunities through closure • Participate in sales opportunities across Optiv’s portfolio and articulate solutions to senior client stakeholders • Monitor industry trends and the security landscape to provide thought leadership, analysis, and guidance • Collaborate with service delivery teams to provide domain specialty materials and ensure consistent delivery • Develop security strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals, budgets, and ROI metrics • Maintain advisory relationships with client stakeholders and technology partners • Position network security platforms and managed services, including Cisco, Palo Alto, Cloudflare, Zscaler, and Wiz • Lead requirements gathering, technology selection, demonstrations, and security technology evaluations • Guide clients through design, optimization, and policy automation of next-generation firewalls, microsegmentation, and Zero Trust architectures • Partner with internal Optiv teams to align client expectations and ensure service delivery excellence • Identify emerging technologies for internal enablement and client exposure • Promote Optiv’s portfolio and security awareness at speaking and partner events and through social media • Participate in account planning, forecasting, pipeline management, proposal processes, contracts, and RFI/RFP responses • Maintain and develop technical capabilities, soft skills, and cybersecurity knowledge through education and certification • Advance sales techniques and assist in finalizing sales • Travel up to 40% within North Carolina, South Carolina, and the other listed states
• BS/BA or equivalent and applicable work experience • Minimum of 8 years in an information security role, preferably as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer • At least 3 years specifically focused on Network Security solutions • Strong understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive controls • Strong business and technical acumen and ability to lead technology-focused discussions • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including whiteboard sessions • Strong attention to detail when reviewing SOWs, quotes, and client deliverables • Broad security-related knowledge and continuous expertise development across other domains • Vendor-specific certification(s) focused primarily on the specialty • CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM, CCSP, or other relevant professional cybersecurity certifications • Experience speaking about and evangelizing technology vision at events • Previous experience leading an information security function or program • Organizational membership and participation in chapter meetings such as ISACA or ISSA • Ability to work as a highly motivated self-starter without day-to-day management • Ability to work in a highly adaptable and nimble team environment with responsive communication • Ability to travel up to 40% within the listed states
