📋 Description

• Coordinate care and communicate pertinent medical information among the Injured Worker, Insured, and Carrier • Facilitate appropriate treatment, successful rehabilitation, and return to work • Deliver efficient, cost-effective communication for work injuries, MVAs, liability claims, LTD/STD, and other referred services • Follow policies and procedures in the Case Management plan and retain accountability for the CM process • Accept referrals assigned by the Director of Case Management • Make initial contacts, schedule initial assessments, and obtain the date of the next physician appointment • Confirm assignments with referral sources and clarify special handling instructions • Build professional relationships with clients and treat claimants with dignity • Maintain ongoing communication with the Injured Worker, Insured, and Carrier • Record data and billing in CaseAnyplace • Submit timely monthly Preliminary, Initial, Progress, and Closing reports • Attend physician appointments and obtain diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plan, rehabilitation length, estimated return to work, and MMI/Full Recovery information • Refer to Vocational Counselor for job analyses when appropriate and approved by Carrier • Recommend and coordinate IME physicians and attend IMEs • Coordinate transportation as needed • Monitor treatment plans and attend therapy sessions when appropriate • Maintain contact with therapists for updates • Request transfer of files to Vocational Counselor when appropriate • Assist Carrier/Insured with modified or regular-duty return-to-work planning • Provide information to Defense Attorneys as appropriate • Promote teamwork with staff members • Maximize accurate, appropriate billable hours toward the monthly target of 8 hours per day • Maintain licensure and certifications and complete required annual training on time • Perform additional professional duties as assigned • Retain responsibility for tasks delegated to non-clinical staff

🎯 Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse state license • Licensed in each state where field case management is provided • Able to perform independent assessments within scope • Practices in a U.S. state/territory allowing independent assessment within scope of practice • Completion of a nursing program and ongoing CE as required • Must obtain and maintain at least one nationally recognized certification (e.g., CCM, CRC, CLNC, CRRN, etc.) within three years of hire or within the state-required timeframe for practice, whichever is less • Two years FTE direct case management for injured workers or two years under supervision preferred • Regular local travel of up to two hours in the assigned region • Ability to provide translation as needed for bilingual nurses
