📋 Description

• Lead the daily operations of the prior authorization technician team • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant case processing • Mentor staff and serve as a subject matter expert • Optimize operational workflows and resolve operational escalations • Foster a supportive, growth-oriented environment • Drive quality, regulatory compliance, and overall team performance • Oversee daily technician workflows, queue monitoring, and task assignments • Monitor productivity and quality metrics • Provide regular 1-on-1 coaching, performance reviews, and cross-training • Address complex intake issues, escalated provider inquiries, and system glitches • Identify and implement process improvements • Partner with cross-functional leadership to develop, update, and organize job aids and team training resources • Participate in a rotated weekend and holiday on-call schedule • Comply with applicable laws and regulations • Perform other duties as assigned • Report to the Manager, Pharmacy Utilization Management

🎯 Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) • High school diploma or equivalent • 4+ years of work experience in a pharmacy related field • 2+ years of performing pharmacy reviews for a managed care plan or pharmacy benefits manager • 1+ years of people or project management experience • Bachelor's degree (bonus point) • Experience managing a team of pharmacy technicians performing utilization management operations (bonus point) • Experience developing and managing key performance indicators/metrics for an operational team (bonus point) • Acute attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills (bonus points) • Must reside in one of the listed eligible U.S. states or District of Columbia
