📋 Description

• Provide daily oversight and operation of CRI-supported applications • Manage troubleshooting, user access administration and control, access audits, and standard operating procedure documentation • Coordinate with system vendors, clinical research operations, and informatics engineers to test, validate, and implement new or revised Clinical Research Enterprise modules • Update validation documentation and Standard Operating Procedures for compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and other applicable regulations • Lead and facilitate cross-functional collaboration across clinical research, information technology, research billing, and clinical trials offices • Participate in strategic planning for system upgrades and implementations across the Clinical Research Informatics environment • Contribute technically to planning, development, integration, and support of OSUMC Clinical Research Enterprise systems • Create, implement, and maintain formal training manuals and procedures and collaborate with end-user training teams • Provide guidance and serve as a subject matter expert for colleagues • Oversee collection of data requirements for clinical trial reporting, system notifications, and data visualization tools • Collaborate with data managers and clinical trials subject-matter experts to prepare data for major initiatives and NIH and NCI grants • Engage with principal investigators, clinical research staff, and OSU committees related to the Institutional Review Board

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health science; advanced degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience in clinical trials management systems or clinical research operations • Four to eight years of relevant clinical experience in a clinical research setting • Subject matter expertise in clinical trial workflows and ability to navigate complex protocols • Expertise in clinical trial data requirements, regulatory affairs, case report form (CRF) development, and protocol development • Knowledge and experience with clinical trial management systems and electronic health records • Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, and consensus-building abilities • Ability to work independently • Knowledge of business intelligence tools and report formatting applications such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI preferred • IT work experience preferred • Experience gathering and understanding technical and end-user requirements valuable • Experience developing workflows and user documentation is a plus • Knowledge of principal investigator and clinical research staff roles within a medical center’s clinical research enterprise • Engagement with key committees related to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) • Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check • A drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process
