• Process billing system work queues and maintain accurate patient, billing, and reimbursement records. • Verify documentation completeness and coding accuracy, including HCPCS, modifiers, and ICD-10 codes. • Submit, monitor, and resolve insurance claims, denials, underpayments, and correspondence with payors. • Manage accounts receivable activities, including aging reports, patient balances, payment plans, adjustments, refunds, and write-offs. • Reconcile patient payments, electronic remittances, and bank deposits to ensure accurate posting and reporting. • Perform daily banking activities, account monitoring, deposits, journal entries, and month-end reconciliations. • Investigate and resolve payment posting, banking, deposit, and account discrepancies. • Prepare and distribute financial and operational reports related to payments, deposits, and reconciliation activities. • Collaborate with Billing, Operations, and external partners to resolve claims, payment, and account issues. • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, corporate policies, and established productivity, quality, and customer service standards. • Support process improvement initiatives and perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Minimum one year of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, insurance collections, and claims management. • Working knowledge of HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, insurance payor requirements, and reimbursement processes. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and database systems, with strong data entry skills. • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while managing a high volume of work. • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills. • Ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment. • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, caregivers, clinical staff, and business partners. • Dependable, reliable, and punctual with a strong commitment to quality and customer service. • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid regulations preferred. • Knowledge of Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing preferred.
