📋 Description

• Process and follow through on purchasing requests for supplies, services, and equipment • Process approved electronic requisitions for assigned vendors and cost centers within one business day • Review Open Receipts reports and follow up with suppliers on missing or expired due dates • Validate purchase order confirmations and address shipping delays • Expedite delivery of open purchase orders and communicate updates • Maintain communication, cooperation, and customer service with assigned departments • Create and maintain supplier shipping accounts for facility delivery locations • Troubleshoot customer shipping account issues involving online requisitioning, EDI, and ERP supplier accounts • Support automation of electronic purchase order transmissions through Electronic Data Interchange • Communicate item file changes involving price, unit of measure, and product code • Identify supplier resources and obtain quotes for hospital departments • Process returns to suppliers and obtain Return Material Authorizations • Communicate supplier recalls, account changes, acquisitions, and mergers • Resolve purchase order and invoice match exceptions with Accounts Payable • Identify requisitioner training needs and provide job aids and training • Assist with credit hold resolution • Manage complex procurement process projects • Maintain supplier relationships and track open purchase orders and proof of delivery • Report item unit-of-purchase and packaging errors • Support capital projects and equipment purchases • Create and follow through on purchase orders for organizational sourcing contracts • Coordinate with Strategic Sourcing, suppliers, and organizational departments on contract details • Lead and mentor new buyer candidates • Support Informatics projects involving OREC and POA reporting • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required • 3 or more years of work experience in Supply Chain or healthcare procurement • No license, certification, or registration required • Advanced ability to understand and analyze data to drive performance • Advanced oral and written communication skills • Proven ability to communicate with all levels of the organization • Proven ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple high-priority deliverables • Proven ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships • Advanced working knowledge of Supply Chain procurement functions • Experience with healthcare industry supplies and supply chain processes preferred • Ability to convey messages logically, simply, and with confidence • Ability to apply tools and processes to manage data collection and analysis • Ability to foster vendor relationships • Proven ability to work effectively in a leadership role as a team member • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
