📋 Description

• Review and capture historical financial transactions and records within QuickBooks • Reconcile bank accounts, transactions and financial records across multiple historical periods • Identify missing, duplicated, incorrectly coded or unreconciled transactions and investigate discrepancies • Organise and maintain supporting financial documentation, including invoices, receipts, statements and transaction records • Bring the company's bookkeeping records up to date and establish an accurate financial position for each relevant reporting period • Prepare reconciled financial information and supporting documentation for review by the company's external accountant • Assist with financial record preparation required to address outstanding historical ATO and tax-related matters, under the direction of the directors and external accountant • Establish effective bookkeeping processes and potentially transition into ongoing bookkeeping and financial administration as the business grows

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 2.5 years' professional bookkeeping experience, preferably supporting Australian businesses • Strong hands-on experience using QuickBooks, including transaction processing, reconciliations and historical account clean-ups • Good understanding of Australian bookkeeping practices • Familiarity with ATO-related financial record requirements • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Ability to investigate and resolve historical discrepancies • Highly organised and trustworthy • Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential financial information
