📋 Description

• Pioneer and define the Agentic Experience (AX) design discipline for OutSystems’ AI development platform • Define how AI agents navigate, operate, and succeed within the platform while ensuring clear, trustworthy human oversight • Design the machine-operable substrate beneath or alongside the user interface • Define AX experience artifacts, operation contracts, behaviour policies, trust specifications, evaluation criteria, and governance frameworks • Own the end-to-end AX design lifecycle: Model, Contract, Constrain, Observe, Validate, Run, Learn, and Version • Define operability gates covering determinism, safety, observability, recoverability, and economics • Build evaluation frameworks including golden tasks, regression sets, and adversarial scenarios • Design interactive, supervised, and lights-out oversight modes according to operation and risk profile • Create dual-layer journey maps spanning human experience and agent operations • Define trust operating models, delegation moments, and oversight touchpoints • Influence product vision and department strategy for agent-readiness and AI-native design • Establish AX design standards, patterns, and best practices across the R&D organization • Contribute agent-facing components, semantic structures, and observability surfaces to the design system • Evangelize agent-first design across Product, Engineering, and leadership • Mentor and guide designers through the UX-to-AX transition • Drive reskilling in semantic architecture, process modeling, exception design, and system optimization • Foster collaboration and a shared vision across UX, UAX, and AX experience eras

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in UX, Product Design, or related design disciplines • Demonstrated experience designing complex B2B SaaS or platform products • Strong foundation in systems thinking, information architecture, and semantic design • Experience building operating models and conceptual designs • Experience working in and leading cross-functional design, engineering, product management, and AI/ML teams • Experience with the full design lifecycle: research, ideation, prototyping, testing, iteration, and delivery in Agile environments • Expert proficiency in Figma, Figma Make, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and modern design tools • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex agent-system interactions to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Fluent spoken and written English • Deep fluency in LLM patterns, including ReAct and Chain-of-Thought • Ability to design state machines, tool-use contracts, and reliable autonomous workflows • Experience designing for non-deterministic systems, graceful failures, hand-off protocols, and recovery paths • Mastery of semantic modeling and machine-legible design for vector embeddings, RAG, and typed schemas • Ability to design Interactive, Supervised, and Lights-out interaction modes with observability, auditability, and cost awareness • Comfort with API documentation, JSON structures, and capability contracts • Strong advantages: knowledge of low-code platforms, software development processes, or IDE design • Strong advantages: background in process, service, or operations design • Strong advantages: experience with capability/contract design, API design, or developer experience • Strong advantages: experience designing for trust, delegation, and human-AI collaboration patterns
