📋 Description

• Support development of skincare, cosmetics, hair color, and haircare products from concept through formulation, testing, packaging, and commercialization. • Coordinate formula submissions, sample evaluations, revisions, and technical feedback with manufacturers and formulation laboratories. • Evaluate product samples for texture, color, fragrance, application, performance, and consumer experience. • Coordinate stability, compatibility, safety, and consumer perception testing. • Review ingredient lists, product specifications, testing documentation, and claims-support materials. • Support packaging development and coordinate samples, specifications, decoration requirements, and supplier feedback. • Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain on manufacturing requirements, costs, minimum order quantities, and production considerations. • Manage communications with manufacturers, laboratories, packaging suppliers, testing facilities, and development partners. • Track updates, feedback, technical information, deliverables, risks, and escalation items. • Maintain product development files, records, folder structures, naming conventions, and version control across both brands. • Document formula revisions, vendor feedback, development decisions, and action items. • Coordinate with the Product Development Project Manager and cross-functional teams including Creative, Marketing, E-commerce, Operations, and Supply Chain. • Support brand awareness initiatives, strategic partnerships, ambassador collaborations, product seeding, launch materials, and brand education. • Receive, evaluate, organize, and coordinate shipments of physical product and packaging samples. • Report directly to the VP of Brand & Product Development.

🎯 Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in product development, preferably within beauty, cosmetics, skincare, haircare, or personal care. • A genuine passion for beauty products, ingredients, formulations, packaging, and innovation. • Familiarity with the product development process, including coordinating samples, communicating with manufacturers, or supporting product launches. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects, documents, and vendor communications. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence communicating professionally with external partners. • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong follow-through, accountability, and the ability to take initiative without constant direction. • Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities may shift and multiple projects are progressing simultaneously. • Experience working directly with contract manufacturers, formulation laboratories, packaging suppliers, or testing facilities. • Familiarity with cosmetic ingredients, INCI terminology, formulation briefs, product testing, or regulatory requirements. • Experience in direct-to-consumer beauty, e-commerce, or consumer products. • Exposure to brand partnerships, ambassador programs, product marketing, or project management tools such as Monday.com. • Submit a resume, cover letter, and any relevant samples or case studies of previous work.
