• Develop, implement, and maintain effective cost management procedures • Guide and support the central Real Estate team as Cost Estimator for internal construction activities worldwide • Assist Project Managers in defining realistic construction project budgets based on project requirements, procurement strategy, contract type, regional building codes, and market conditions • Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures with project teams • Provide cost estimates from preliminary through detailed project stages • Evaluate cost control measures during project execution • Review cost forecasts and cost reports to support budget and cash-out plan adherence • Apply expertise in cost- and time-effective construction methods to help deliver projects on time and within budget • Support value engineering, pricing, and claim negotiations with General Contractors • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to support project success and client growth targets
• Bachelor's degree required, with concentration in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline • 10+ years of experience in Cost Estimating and Management (pre-contract and post-contract) required • Special knowledge of typical cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and relevant cost-influencing factors • Ability to critically review and challenge cost plans for quality and accuracy • Profound understanding of applicable contract types, including pre-construction project-partnering, Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, Open Book/cost plus fees, and BTS-Lease • International experience working on industrial construction projects • Good command of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Experience with digital design methods such as BIM and cost databases • Structured, organized way of working and ability to work independently • Special skills in RIB iTwo, CostX, or similar tools required • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • Employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas
