📋 Description

• Manage diverse and complex long-term disability claims from initial intake through resolution • Make timely, fair, and accurate claim decisions • Collaborate with clinical and vocational partners on return-to-work strategies and benefit eligibility • Serve as a subject matter expert on long-term disability claim practices • Consult on best practices and contribute to internal procedures, workflows, and system requirements • Document decisions and interactions accurately • Communicate with claimants, employers, and internal stakeholders • Mentor and support onboarding of new team members • Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Intake/Admin, Clinical and Vocational Services, and other business units • Identify process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement and enterprise initiatives • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Deep understanding of disability contract provisions, exclusions, riders, waivers, and applicable regulatory and statutory requirements (e.g., FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA) • Experience managing long-term disability claims from initial intake through resolution • Sound judgment and adherence to policy provisions • Ability to collaborate with clinical and vocational partners • Ability to communicate clearly with claimants, employers, and internal stakeholders • Ability to mentor and support onboarding of new team members • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, business needs, and regulatory requirements
