PSA emphasizes patient access (new patient appointments, self-scheduling, patient portal, AI phone assistant), physician referrals and partnerships, patient education and therapy partnerships, and aims to be a single-source pain management provider focused on improving patients’ quality of life.

📋 Description

• Manage a payor portfolio, including patient statements • Process all requested information from patients • Take appropriate action to secure outstanding patient payments • Follow up on outstanding patient balances • Monitor patient statements • Contact patients to establish payment arrangements • Review accounts for external collections • Adhere to the collection process • Answer billing calls • Assist patients with account inquiries and provide resolution • Serve as a resource for front desk personnel • Assist with questions related to patient billing and collections • Maintain technical standards to meet continuous quality improvement, financial, and delivery requirements • Plan and accomplish goals in coordination with the Specialist’s manager

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma • Minimum of four years’ work experience in a medical business office setting • Minimum of one-year work experience in medical billing • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook • Must be organized and detail-oriented • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines • Must possess good problem-solving skills • Knowledge of medical billing terminology and concepts related to billing • Coding certification preferred
