📋 Description

• Design, implement and test software solutions for K-12 schools’ learning environment • Design, implement and test RESTful web services using NodeJS, Google Apps Script, and Postman • Build, host and maintain application environments using Amazon Web Services (AWS) • Maintain source code repositories and branching/merging strategies with Git • Analyze and resolve technical and application problems • Provide analysis and troubleshooting support for production issues and code deployment activities • Contribute to user interface design and development • Collaborate with developers, testers, and product owners • Set up and administer SIS, LMS, and third-party integration systems for existing and new schools • Identify complex data mapping into the learning ecosystem with enrollment and development teams • Coordinate day-to-day system operations • Diagnose system anomalies and ensure timely resolution with school staff, administrators, and operational teams • Perform routine maintenance and application updates on servers/instances • Coordinate with vendors on maintenance impacts and communicate with impacted parties • Work with departments and teams on projects, data requests, automation, and custom reports • Create and maintain documentation and provide training to corporate staff • Support systems during school year-end activities and annual rollovers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical or electronics engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or equivalent degree • Experience administering complex systems/integrations such as Canvas LMS, SIS, and Clever Integrations • Strong technical aptitude to learn new systems, processes, and backend reporting • Experience developing open standards-based web services, web applications, and modern user interfaces • Significant, demonstrable experience implementing features across the software development team and development environment • Ability to design, write, edit, modify, and debug code focused on automating manual tasks • Exceptional oral and written communication skills • Understanding of relational databases and proficiency with SQL • Experience with message queue technology and design patterns • 3+ years of experience with NodeJS • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript • Familiarity with AWS services including S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, EC2, CloudFront, and Redshift • Experience with Amazon Web Services API • Experience with Git version control • Experience with Unix/Linux environment • Experience with ticket tracking and resolving issues for end users • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI) • Applicants in California, Colorado, and New York are not eligible for this position • Preferred: ability to think independently, work within a team environment, and work well under pressure • Preferred: experience administering training platforms • Preferred: experience with NoSQL document databases such as MongoDB • Desired: experience with AWS CDK
