📋 Description

• Implement, configure, and operate security controls across endpoint, identity, network, and cloud environments • Own the endpoint security roadmap and drive migration to a modern EDR/MDR stack • Design and enforce identity and access controls across Okta, Entra ID, and connected systems • Partner with Cloud Architecture to embed security into AWS multi-account infrastructure • Lead security tooling evaluations, proofs of concept, and rollouts • Translate SOX ITGC, GxP, HIPAA, and SOC2 requirements into technical controls and operating practices • Partner with QA on validated-system requirements, change control, and data integrity • Own control documentation, evidence collection, audit traceability, and technical audit support • Manage security and compliance vendors, MSP contractors, and specialist consultants • Own vendor risk assessments and hold vendors accountable to SLAs and security commitments • Lead security incident response from detection and triage through containment, remediation, and post-incident review • Maintain and exercise incident response and business continuity runbooks • Support regulatory, legal, and breach-notification obligations • Advise Engineering, Research, Clinical, and Enterprise teams on secure and compliant practices • Communicate risk and advocate for pragmatic controls across technical and non-technical audiences

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in technical security • Experience operating within regulated compliance environments such as FDA/GxP, HIPAA, SOX, or SOC2 • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or another audited industry ideally • Hands-on expertise in endpoint security, including EDR/MDR • Hands-on expertise in identity and access management with Okta and Entra ID • Hands-on expertise in AWS multi-account cloud security • Experience implementing and operating security controls and mapping them to compliance frameworks and audit requirements • Experience leading incident response and managing security and compliance vendors and consultants • Working knowledge of QA and change control practices in regulated environments • Ability to set priorities independently, stay hands-on, and direct external partners • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or equivalent scripting • Exceptional communication and cross-functional influence skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred • CISA and/or CISSP preferred
