📋 Description

• Drive large cross-team initiatives within engineering from start to production • Own cross-team effects of work, break down work, and drive initiatives with appropriate stakeholders • Communicate effectively across the organization • Align architecture at the company level • Define and champion team best practices across the organization • Influence the product roadmap and shape impactful customer-focused products • Work through lean execution with iterations and feedback loops to deliver business value • Shape the engineering vision while owning data models and the toolchain for the data platform • Build and maintain robust batch and streaming pipelines using cloud technologies and distributed systems • Develop tools and processes to deploy configurational data and self-service tools • Enhance monitoring systems for infrastructure visibility and failure detection • Become a subject matter expert on diverse datasets and associated tooling • Ensure data privacy and security governance with cross-functional teams • Advocate for a scalable, maintainable data platform supporting evolving business needs • Understand business priorities and deadlines, execute impactful initiatives, communicate goals, and set expectations across engineering teams • Partner with product, AI, infrastructure, health systems integration, and business intelligence teams • Manage technical debt and mentor engineers cross-functionally • Set technical strategy and an incremental plan to redesign legacy data pipelines into a coherent, modular, reusable data platform

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ Years of experience • Extensive experience driving technical projects, prioritizing work, identifying dependencies, and facilitating technical decisions across teams • Deep expertise in SQL, data analysis, and data modeling • Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud environments • Experience with data processing technologies like Spark or Flink for batch and microbatch analytics • Ability to evangelize and use data mesh design principles to build data products • Proven track record designing scalable, available, maintainable, and performant systems • Proficiency in coding (Python or other languages) • Knowledge of when to apply AI assisted development tools • Proficiency building infrastructure using major cloud providers, such as AWS • Experience with infrastructure as code solutions, such as Terraform • Willingness to learn and dive deep into the clinical data domain • Customer obsession as a core leadership principle • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must answer whether visa sponsorship is required to work in the United States
