📋 Description

• Own all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis • Manage payroll using Rippling and oversee day-to-day financial operations • Own headcount cost modeling and understand the fully-loaded cost of each role • Own P&L reporting and present regular financial updates to leadership • Monitor and manage cash flow and efficient use of company resources • Track budgets via Ramp and flag out-of-policy employee spending • Ensure financial compliance, including tax filings, GAAP-aligned reporting, and audit readiness • Implement internal controls and financial policies • Stay current on payments compliance requirements as the payments platform scales • Work hands-on in Passes' proprietary system and Mercury for manual payouts, vendor invoicing, and general payments • Support financial operations for the payments platform, partnering with the technical team on payment flows and their effect on the books • Partner with the Head of People on sales commission structures, payout modeling, and compensation benchmarking • Bring exposure to fundraising and M&A dynamics in a startup environment • Identify and mitigate financial risk

🎯 Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in finance roles, with flexibility for less experienced candidates with an exceptional academic or professional background • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field • Strong fluency with AI tools, particularly Claude, is a hard requirement • Comfortable owning a full department with limited senior backup • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills • Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment • Ability to work in the US; application asks whether the candidate is legally authorized to work in the US • Proficiency with Mercury, Ramp, Rippling, Claude, Microsoft Office (Excel), and Google Suite
