📋 Description

• Evaluate responses to test questions by California teacher candidates • Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities • Recognize and discuss various types of bias, including implicit bias, cultural bias, leniency bias, central tendency bias, and halo effect, and use strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring • Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program • Participate in training before scoring begins and possibly a brief orientation meeting • Work scoring sessions scheduled Monday through Friday on an intermittent basis

🎯 Requirements

• Hold a Teaching Credential in California corresponding to the content field, have at least three years of teaching experience, and be teaching or have taught within the last three years in California; or be an instructor in a California institution of higher education who, in the last three years, has taught classes corresponding to the content field; or have served as a Single Subject Assessments for Teaching scorer in the content field; or have continuing experience as a scorer in the content field after having met one of the above qualifications; or have an authorization to teach in California public schools in the corresponding content field and be a current California resident; or hold a graduate degree in the content field and be a current California resident; or hold a bachelor's degree and have several years' professional experience in the content field and be a current California resident; or hold a bachelor's degree and/or master's degree and be a graduate student currently teaching courses in the content field in the state of California; or have served as a CTC-approved member of the appropriate CSET test development and/or standard setting panel and be a current California resident; or be a CTC-approved scorer • Be a resident of California with eligibility to work in the United States • Possess basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse) • Ability to sit for extended periods of time • Ability to maintain a confidential work environment • Pass a qualifying test before scoring
