📋 Description

• Lead and support site surveys, site preparation, and system installation activities • Execute and support VCS system cutovers from legacy voice platforms to next-generation systems • Decommission legacy voice communication systems • Perform independent system testing and validation of power installation compliance, cabling integrity, equipment, and site specifications • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair VCS and supporting telecommunications/IT infrastructure • Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve voice, network, and hardware faults • Support preventive maintenance and system health checks • Provide on-site customer support and end-user orientation/training as needed • Maintain accurate technical documentation, service reports, and cutover records • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, site security, and operational standards • Coordinate with engineers, program teams, and other field technicians during deployment activities

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA, minimum of 6 years with an MS/MA, or minimum of 3 years with a PhD; 12 years in lieu of degree • Must be a US Citizen • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance • Hands-on experience with Voice Communication Switch (VCS) systems or similar mission-critical voice platforms • Experience supporting system cutovers, migrations, or technology refresh efforts • Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure • Knowledge of VoIP technologies • Knowledge of cabling standards and power validation • Knowledge of networked voice systems • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause diagnostic skills • Experience using test equipment and diagnostic tools in field environments • Familiarity with operational environments where uptime and reliability are critical • Excellent technical problem-solving ability • Strong customer service and communication skills • Ability to work independently in remote field locations • Strong documentation and reporting discipline • High attention to detail and adherence to procedures • Effective time management and ability to meet deployment timelines • Ability to collaborate across technical disciplines • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 95%
