• Lead, manage, develop, and coach a team of Rare Cardiology Field Medical colleagues • Guide work prioritization and resource allocation, and authorize team-related expenditures • Handle HR matters including performance appraisals, salary planning, colleague selection, development plans, retention, team culture, and conflict resolution • Ensure team activities comply with policies, guidelines, regulations, and training deadlines • Collaborate with the Medical Governance team and administrative professional staff • Assist HQ Medical Affairs with strategic planning, field medical insights, medical plan execution, and budget planning • Support assessment and rollout of major above-brand strategic initiatives • Ensure effective, appropriate, and compliant communication between HQ Medical Affairs, Rare Cardiology Field Medical, and commercial functions • Own the Medical Review Committee approval process for Rare Cardiology medical content • Serve on Field Medical and cross-functional committees and teams • Interact with investigators and other healthcare professionals in clinical and research activities • Communicate and comply with FDA and other U.S. regulations governing external HCP interactions and medical information delivery • Lead adoption of digital technology and related offerings to improve communication efficiency and customer experience • Remain current on Rare Cardiology scientific and medical literature and developments
• Bachelor’s degree in a health science required • 12 years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree; 10 years with MBA/MS; 7 years with PharmD or PhD • PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree highly preferred • Diverse leadership experience and ability to influence, collaborate, develop, coach, oversee, and guide colleagues • Leadership skills to inspire, motivate, develop, and lead a team in a complex, changing environment • Strong strategic, analytical, self-awareness, and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently, demonstrate flexibility and organizational awareness, and adapt to changes within short timeframes • Ability to manage a diverse team of geographically dispersed professionals • Ability to manage projects in a remote environment, prioritize, implement successfully, and exercise excellent judgment • Experience working within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team • Ability to manage and lead change in an evolving external health care environment • Change agility and adaptability to organizational change • Problem-solving and enterprise-wide networking skills • Effective collaboration and leadership with peers, internal stakeholders, and external customers • Self-starter with accountability, urgency, and focus on medical impact and positive customer experience • Decisiveness and good judgment • Clinical and technical skills • Ability to rapidly adopt and utilize new digital technology and record medical interactions • Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/customer interactions preferred • Previous Field Medical experience preferred • Proximity to an airline hub city • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time • Valid US driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards • No DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer • Permanent work authorization in the United States required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is unavailable
