📋 Description

• Build and lead the EHS program for the data center campus and associated support offices • Develop and own campus EHS strategy, policies, and annual objectives • Build and maintain an EHS management system covering risk assessment, safe work practices, training, inspections, incident management, and continuous improvement • Establish safety metrics and report performance and risk to leadership • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, TCEQ, local authorities, and applicable codes and standards • Lead hazard identification and risk assessments, including JHA, PPE, confined space, lockout/tagout, hot work, working at heights, and electrical safety • Maintain emergency response plans and coordinate drills • Partner with the Environmental Compliance lead on environmental programs • Define and enforce safe work practices for electrical, mechanical, controls, lifting/rigging, confined space, hot work, and contractor activities • Review method statements, lift plans, switching procedures, and maintenance plans • Review general contractor safety programs and determine internal versus outsourced activities • Oversee incident investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons-learned communications • Manage chemical inventories, SDS, storage, labeling, and spill response • Establish EHS expectations for contractors and vendors and participate in pre-qualifications and bid reviews • Ensure safe construction practices around live data center operations • Perform audits and contractor compliance spot checks • Develop and deliver or coordinate EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors • Own or coordinate CPR/AED training • Drive a proactive safety culture that empowers stop-work authority and hazard reporting • Maintain records for inspections, incidents, training, permits, and regulatory submissions • Lead internal audits and host external audits or regulatory inspections • Prepare EHS reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders • Present safety and compliance performance to customers and external stakeholders • Build and lead an EHS function aligned with campus growth • Partner with HR on return-to-work and injury case management

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a closely related field required • One or more of: CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), CHMM, CSHM, or equivalent EHS credential • 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in industrial, manufacturing, energy, data center, chemical, pharmaceutical, or other high-risk environments • 5+ years in a senior EHS leadership role with responsibility for multiple functions or sites • Experience building EHS programs from the ground up • Experience running safety on a complex, large-campus operation with multiple trades and contractors • Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and OSHA 1926; OSHA 40 trained • Certified CPR/AED trainer, or able to obtain this quickly • Direct experience with OSHA and EPA compliance programs, including audits, corrective actions, and regulator interactions • Experience presenting safety and compliance programs to customers and clients • Experience working around high-energy electrical, mechanical, and chemical systems • Site-level safety accountability with a boots-on-the-ground approach • Deep understanding of OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and high-reliability facility practices • Strong incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills • Clear written and verbal communication; able to produce procedures, trainings, and reports • Willingness to work in plant/field environments • Regular travel to the Fort Stockton, TX campus • Availability to respond to incidents and emergencies outside standard business hours
