📋 Description

• Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product teams to define, design, create, and maintain core documentation for Ping Identity products and services • Deliver documentation for cloud-based services and/or on-premise software for end-users, admins, developers, integrators, and DevOps • Investigate, research, and learn products and their underlying standards • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, user-friendly content with real-life examples and use cases • Advocate for documentation during product planning and feature scoping meetings throughout the software development lifecycle • Work with AsciiDoc in a Docs-as-Code authoring and publishing environment using GitHub • Follow the software development lifecycle process to anticipate and ascertain documentation needs • Provide constructive structural and technical edits for writers or developer-contributed content

🎯 Requirements

• Prior experience or exposure to software development, including familiarity with Agile development methodologies • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality standards with minimal supervision • Ability to proactively explore unreleased features, test early-stage software, and gather insights independently while engaging with engineering teams • Experience using markdown languages, version control tools, single-source techniques, metadata/tagging, and integrated development environments (IDEs) • Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar project management platforms • Experience using AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) for code generation, use case creation, draft summarization, and style guide checking • Understanding of how documentation sites are built and published, including Jenkins and Antora • Ability to collaborate effectively face to face and remotely • Experience providing constructive structural and technical edits for writers or developer-contributed content • Ability to craft user-friendly content for humans while structuring documentation for AI tools, search engines, and coding assistants • Advantageous experience working in a Docs-as-Code environment • Advantageous scripting/programming experience with Java, Bash, Python, or JavaScript • Advantageous experience building, installing, configuring, and debugging client and server software • Advantageous experience documenting identity and access management applications for power users • Advantageous experience documenting for a developer audience, especially API documentation • Advantageous experience simplifying complex content • Advantageous adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools • Advantageous experience writing and maintaining AI skill files and instructions for AI agents and developer tooling
