📋 Description

• Provide software engineering and integration support for the Veterans Affairs Independent Enterprise Testing Support Services contract • Work with VA VistA, Oracle Health/Cerner Millennium, and other electronic health record systems • Evaluate, implement, test, and manage technology solutions • Develop and execute architecture strategies, feasibility studies, and integration analyses • Gather and define architecture requirements and ensure compliance with IT organization and project standards • Analyze application architecture and perform risk assessments • Establish appropriate architecture for testing environments • Capture, publish, and maintain architecture artifacts using organizational architecture tools and repositories • Write client deliverable analysis reports • Participate in collaborative meetings with VA customers, contract teammates, VA project teams, and other stakeholders • Handle multiple tasks and changing priorities while working independently

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered if other requirements are met • At least 10 years of overall information technology experience • Software engineering experience, including development, integration experience, architecture analysis, and testing integration between applications, databases, and external applications • Experience working with Oracle or SQL Server in a UNIX/VMS/Windows environment • Python script development experience • Experience building Python-based websites • Knowledge of network protocols • Experience with database development • Experience designing and creating test cases • Experience with system integration involving external components • Understanding of system architecture • Ability to evaluate, implement, test, and manage technology solutions • Ability to develop and execute architecture strategies, feasibility studies, and integration analyses • Ability to gather and define architecture requirements independently • Ability to ensure architectures comply with IT organization and project standards • Ability to analyze application architecture, perform risk assessments, and establish architecture for testing environments • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities • Detail-oriented and able to work independently • Ability to write effective client deliverable analysis reports with little to no supervision • Ability to use established architecture tools, repositories, and repository management processes • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent customer service skills • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information • Must obtain a Government-granted Security clearance • Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation
