• Lead IT strategy execution, infrastructure, and security for a fully remote, distributed team • Own relationships with offshore and U.S.-based help desk vendor partners and serve as the primary escalation point • Set and monitor vendor SLAs and KPIs, including response time, resolution time, backlog, and CSAT • Manage vendor contracts, invoicing cycles, renewals, and procurement partnership with Finance • Run service reviews and use ticket-trend data to drive accountability and improvement plans • Build escalation paths for issues vendors cannot resolve • Own end-to-end IT onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning/deprovisioning, device setup, access assignment, and timely deactivation • Design and maintain scalable onboarding/offboarding workflows and identify automation opportunities • Build and maintain a SharePoint IT resource hub with guides, quick links, FAQs, and how-tos • Own IT hardware and asset lifecycle, including inventory, deployment, maintenance, refreshes, recovery, and secure disposal • Maintain internal SOPs and employee-facing documentation • Own employee IT experience quality and minimize remote-work disruption • Track and report employee productivity and IT service metrics • Build, monitor, and report on the IT budget, vendor spend, software licensing, and hardware costs • Maintain SaaS application inventory and lifecycle management • Evaluate vendor and tool costs and identify consolidation opportunities • Oversee core IT systems, cloud applications, SaaS stack, identity/access management, remote connectivity, and network services • Conduct identity and access reviews and enforce least-privilege principles • Own cybersecurity fundamentals including access controls, SSO, MFA, and endpoint-security compliance, partnering with the fractional CISO • Build and improve company-wide IT and cybersecurity compliance training with the CPO • Maintain and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans • Establish change-management processes for significant IT and security changes • Maintain IT policies and standards • Support audits, risk assessments, security questionnaires, evidence collection, and remediation • Own operational rollout and responsible adoption of AI tools, including Claude • Build Claude skills and AI agents • Partner with the CPO on AI communications and training • Run proactive IT learning labs and just-in-time guidance • Monitor state-level AI and technology regulations relevant to employee use • Own technical and AV logistics for company all-hands meetings • Participate in company culture, engagement activities, hub-location gatherings, and volunteer/service activities • Bring technology, tooling, automation, and AI recommendations to leadership • Execute agreed IT strategy and identify continuous process improvements • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
• 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including vendor/outsourced-support management • Proven experience in cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management fundamentals • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and general digital-tool fluency, including comfort adopting new/AI-enabled tools • Demonstrated experience designing or building out a remote/distributed work experience • Proficient with Microsoft 365, Azure, and supporting a mixed PC/Mac environment • Familiarity with Slack and SharePoint administration • Strong written communication and ability to translate technical information into clear documentation and employee-facing guides • Ability to work productively and asynchronously in a remote environment • Must have a dedicated, safe, and secure remote work environment • Ability to work and be productive in a remote setting • Ability to travel occasionally for team events, collaboration, or conferences • Located in or willing to work Central or Eastern Time Zone • Must be 18 years or older • Work location must be in the United States • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States • Occasional local trips may be required to send or receive physical IT hardware • Limited home storage space may be required for a small amount of IT hardware/equipment • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, a plus (desired, not required)
