• Coordinate all appointments with providers for patients, referring physicians, and facilities across multiple states • Communicate key information to patients and staff, including insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and appointment dates/times • Provide warm, friendly, and excellent customer service to patients, referral sources, and staff • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel initial and subsequent appointments accurately using practice scheduling protocols and tools • Provide accurate and courteous information regarding services to physicians and other callers • Respond effectively and promptly to patient, provider, and team member requests • Maintain and update patient information and working knowledge of insurance protocols • Determine insurance benefits using eligibility systems, online websites, or phone calls • Explain benefits and financial obligations to patients and/or guarantors • Handle billing inquiries, collect out-of-pocket payments, and process payments accurately • Communicate insurance issues and work with billing teams to correct coverage issues • Maintain insurance panels and obtain approval for schedule changes or cancellations • Meet goals and objectives assigned by management • Escalate problems to management and complete other duties based on patient needs • Adhere to quality and productivity standards
• Experience with insurance eligibility • Bilingual Spanish required • Attention to detail required • Strong organizational skills • Ability to multi-task and prioritize • Ability to work well with others in a team-driven environment
