📋 Description

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process end to end, including GL operations, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews under US GAAP • Research and document technical accounting positions covering revenue recognition (ASC 606), business combinations (ASC 805), and internal-use software (ASC 350-40) • Communicate technical accounting conclusions clearly to executives and non-accountants • Lead financial reporting and support external audits • Build the internal controls framework as the company scales • Manage intercompany accounting and consolidated financials across domestic and international entities • Scope and implement accounting systems, ERP tools, and automation • Partner with legal, product, and business development on product launches, monetization changes, and M&A activity • Define and document accounting policies for crypto-native platform activity

🎯 Requirements

• Active CPA license required • 8 to 10 or more years of progressive accounting experience • Direct exposure to both high-growth private companies and public company environments • 3 or more years of Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred • Deep technical GAAP knowledge • Ability to research complex accounting topics, write clear memos, and explain conclusions to non-accounting audiences • Experience leading a close process in a high-transaction-volume environment • Track record of meeting deadlines without sacrificing accuracy • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • Comfort working with modern finance tools; familiarity with Ramp, Brex, or a modern ERP expected • Ability and willingness to learn new tools quickly • Strong Excel skills and ability to build and own models • Crypto accounting or digital asset platform experience is a plus • SQL skills or willingness to learn is a plus • International accounting, multi-entity consolidations, or M&A transaction experience is a plus
