📋 Description

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans • Provide psychopharmacologic interventions where appropriate • Provide ongoing medication management for outpatient and residential substance use patients • Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects • Offer psychoeducation to patients and families • Serve as a bridge between medical and behavioral health staff using evidence-based, trauma-informed care • Consult with colleagues, case coordinators, and community partners • Contribute expertise to telemedicine policy and best practices • Participate in clinical consultation and collaborative activities supporting patient care • Maintain complete, accurate records according to professional standards • Uphold HIPAA and 42 CFR patient confidentiality regulations • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary behavioral healthcare team

🎯 Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry • Iowa medical licensure (or eligibility to obtain) • Valid DEA registration • National Provider Identifier (NPI) • Confidence using telemedicine platforms to extend care to rural and satellite locations • Deep, genuine commitment to serving individuals with dignity, respect, and a belief in their potential • Experienced-level candidate / minimum experience listed as Experienced
