It offers both cloud and open source solutions, assisting developers in building and deploying data pipelines with ease and full visibility.

📋 Description

• Ship maintained reference implementations, including MCP servers with production authentication, gateway configurations, and agentic workflows • Teach developers about agentic workflows through demos, technical posts, conference talks, and video • Own the technical end of video content across YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok • Build with Prefect tools as a first user, identify DX gaps, file issues, submit documentation PRs, and fix examples • Represent Prefect publicly through conference talks, PyAI, livestreams, podcast episodes, and MCP/Python AI communities • Gather feedback on confusion, failures, and missing capabilities and turn it into actionable product feedback for engineering • Write Python or other languages weekly while collaborating with product and engineering • Report to the Chief Growth Officer • Travel for events and spend a few days per quarter in Prefect's recording studio

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years writing software professionally; strong Python desirable • A public body of technical work: repos, posts, docs, talks, or videos developers used • Experience building with LLMs and agents, including MCP servers, tool calling, agent frameworks, or retrieval • Opinions about what breaks when LLM and agent products reach users • Good on camera and on stage, or demonstrably capable of becoming so • Able to operate as a team of one and independently choose, ship, and evaluate work • Maintain or substantially contribute to a popular open-source project (nice to have) • Existing developer audience on YouTube, X, Twitch, a newsletter, or elsewhere (nice to have) • Data engineering or orchestration background with Prefect, Dagster, Airflow, or dbt (nice to have) • Ability to discuss SSO, RBAC, audit logs, and PII with platform or security engineers (nice to have) • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States of America • Visa sponsorship requirements must be disclosed
