📋 Description

• Own product cohesion across the Dagster, Prefect, and FastMCP portfolio • Define how products fit together, where they overlap, and the portfolio's direction • Build and establish the product discovery practice through user conversations, customer signals, and problem validation • Set discovery standards, facilitate discovery across product surfaces, and coach engineers on user conversations • Partner with engineers to frame problems and ground product decisions in customer evidence • Coach product engineers on product judgment, evidence evaluation, user discussions, and prioritization • Design and own the system for measuring product success • Define success criteria, ensure honest post-launch validation, and feed learnings into future development • Report to the Head of Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in product, with real product management experience at the leadership level • Owned multi-team roadmaps, driven tough prioritization decisions, and shipped through others without direct authority • Experience operating in start-ups and engineering-led organizations • Ability to carry product weight through influence without a PM organization or reporting line over builders • Experience synthesizing across domains, such as multi-product portfolios, platform/product tension, or post-acquisition integration • Deep familiarity with the modern data stack, orchestration, or developer tools • Hands-on experience with agentic systems or MCP is a bonus • Experience making other people better at product
