📋 Description

• Own the technical side of enterprise deals from discovery through close • Advise prospects and present and demonstrate the technical value of Prefect, Dagster, FastMCP, and related platforms • Pair with account executives on new business from the first technical call to signature • Conduct discovery, tailored demonstrations, proofs of concept, security reviews, architecture reviews, and procurement support • Distill customer use cases and determine how products fit together to solve them • Sell across Prefect, Dagster, FastMCP, hybrid architecture, and AI governance • Bring market feedback to GTM-engineering partnership channels • Build demo environments, architecture diagrams, competitive battlecards, internal repository contributions, personal projects, and occasional blog posts • Champion company culture and proactively address projects that are going sideways • Report to the Sales Engineering Lead within the Prefect subject-matter-expert pod

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering experience building real solutions • 2+ years in a customer-facing role • Experience building and shipping programmatic solutions • Python experience • Deep discovery skills and ability to uncover customer needs • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to engineers • 2+ years of prior sales engineering experience (nice to have) • 2+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience in at least one major cloud: Azure, AWS, or GCP (nice to have) • Comfort with Kubernetes, networking, IAM, service mesh, and a production database such as Postgres (nice to have) • Experience with orchestration tooling such as Prefect, Dagster, Airflow, Temporal, or Step Functions (nice to have) • Interest in AI and experience tinkering with MCP, agents, or LLM applications (nice to have) • Currently authorized to work in the United States • Must answer whether visa sponsorship will be required now or in the future
